Risk Disclosure

Key risk summary

  • Trading can lose money, and losses may be substantial.
  • Leverage can amplify both gains and losses.
  • Automated or algorithmic execution does not remove market risk.
  • Historical performance does not guarantee future performance.
  • Software, server, connectivity and broker systems can fail or behave unexpectedly.
  • Broker terms, liquidity, spread, slippage and market gaps can affect execution.
  • The service may not be suitable or available for every person or region.

Market risk

Foreign-exchange and other financial markets can move quickly and unpredictably. Economic events, policy decisions, geopolitical developments, unexpected news and changes in liquidity can produce significant price movements. A strategy can lose money when market behaviour differs from the conditions it was designed or calibrated to address.

Leverage and margin risk

Leverage increases exposure relative to the capital committed. It can magnify losses and may lead to rapid drawdown, margin calls, forced position closure or loss of some or all capital. Broker leverage and margin rules can change and may differ by region or account type.

Drawdown and loss risk

Drawdown is a decline from a previous account or strategy peak. Historical drawdown may not represent the maximum future drawdown. Recovery is not guaranteed and a strategy can remain below a previous peak for an extended period or fail to recover.

Strategy and model risk

Algorithmic software follows programmed logic and assumptions. Market relationships can change, parameters can become less effective, and unexpected conditions can produce outcomes that differ from historical observations or testing. No model captures every possible event.

Technology and infrastructure risk

Software bugs, updates, server interruptions, device failure, power loss, internet disruption, latency, configuration errors, cybersecurity events or third-party outages can interrupt or change operation. Maintenance and monitoring reduce some operational uncertainty but cannot guarantee uninterrupted or error-free service.

Broker, counterparty and execution risk

Broker solvency, regulation, account terms, platform availability, pricing, execution policy and operational controls can affect the client. Orders may experience spread, slippage, rejection, delay, partial execution or execution at a different price. Volt XX is not responsible for every act or omission of a third-party broker or service provider.

Liquidity and market-gap risk

During volatile, illiquid or closed-market periods, positions may not be opened or closed at the requested price. Stop levels or automated instructions do not guarantee the final execution price. Weekend or event gaps can produce losses beyond expected levels.

PAMM and allocation-structure risk

A broker-organised PAMM structure depends on the broker’s allocation mechanics, terms, reporting and operational controls. Participants may experience differences caused by timing, account conditions, cash flows, fees or broker processes. The final broker documentation governs the structure.

Private Infrastructure risk

A dedicated server or private environment introduces setup, access, hosting, maintenance and security responsibilities. A private environment does not remove market risk, guarantee security or ensure continuous operation. Costs may continue during periods of underperformance.

Fees, costs and currency risk

Broker fees, spreads, commissions, swaps, software charges, hosting, setup, service fees, payment charges, taxes and currency conversion can reduce returns or increase losses. The applicable costs must be reviewed before onboarding.

Regulatory, legal and regional risk

Laws, marketing permissions, broker availability, tax treatment and service requirements can change by jurisdiction. A route may be delayed, restricted or unavailable. Nothing on the website should be treated as legal, tax or personalised financial advice.

Operational and human risk

Incorrect information, poor credential security, unauthorised access, missed communications, mistaken funding decisions, failure to read third-party terms or failure to follow the approved process can cause loss or disruption. Clients remain responsible for protecting credentials and making informed decisions.

Historical performance disclaimer

Any performance information is historical and must identify its source, period, calculation basis and limitations. Historical results do not guarantee or predict future performance. Individual accounts can differ because of timing, execution, costs, cash flows, broker conditions and route structure.

Client responsibility and suitability

  • Use only capital you can afford to put at risk.
  • Read every applicable agreement, fee schedule and broker document.
  • Understand who provides each service and who controls the account.
  • Protect passwords, devices and authentication methods.
  • Seek independent financial, legal or tax advice where appropriate.
  • Do not proceed because of pressure, urgency or a promised outcome.

Acknowledgement wording for forms

I confirm that I have read the risk information available to me and understand that trading involves risk, including possible loss of capital; that historical performance does not guarantee future performance; and that submitting an enquiry does not guarantee acceptance, activation or any financial outcome.
